Life Gets busy March 18th
So, life gets busy. I've been grateful over the past month but I did not get my gratitudes written down. One of my prayer requests over the past couple of months was for wisdom and the ability to say no to time wasters. Now with the corona virus precautions, everything that I do except for go to work has been canceled. I'm expecting that by next week, as a chaplain, that I'll most likely be calling patients and visiting with them by phone instead of actually going to see them unless it is an emergency or end of life situation. In the midst of this pandemic, God is slowing me down to attend to the things that matter. I am thankful.

February 18th gratitude
Today, I'm thankful for my BSF group. Today seemed like a day were everything was conspiring to prevent us from meeting; however, those of us who made it through the rain had a great time of sharing and fellowship.

Today, I'm thankful for God's wisdom that helps identify who is and isn't trustworthy.

February 14th gratitude
Dad was supposed to have chemo today but didn't. His oncologist decided after looking at his lab work that the chemo therapy that he has been getting for the past 6 months isn't really doing the job. This has been my opinion for several months. I am thankful that the doctor has decided to go back to one of the original chemos that dad was taking. However, even with that Dad says that his appetite is improving. I have been asking people to pray specifically for Dad's improved appetite--I am thankful for God's work in answering that prayer.
February 13th gratitude
Today, I am thankful that the rain has stopped. Home has had 9.67 inches of rain and work has had 10.07 inches in the first 13 days of February. Looking forward to some sunshine.
